The concept of luxury can vary from person to person, as it is subjective and dependent on individual preferences and values.
There are so many things you take for granted that are a luxury for someone else. However, you don’t need to feel bad about it. Acknowledging it is a good thing and being grateful for it as well.
If you have lived without electricity, you know that air conditioner is a luxury. The lights after dark are a luxury,
If you didn’t have enough money to buy all the food you want then having a big meal is a luxury.
If you grew up almost on your own because everyone around you busy, time spent with loved ones is a luxury for you.
If you have always had a bucket bath, shower is a luxury… if you have only used shower then a jacuzzi is a luxury and so on.
Here’s a list of luxuries in life:
Time
Many people consider having an abundance of free time and the ability to spend it as they wish to be a significant luxury. Being able to pursue hobbies, spend time with loved ones, or simply relax and enjoy leisure activities without constraints can be seen as a luxurious aspect of life.
Health and well-being
Good health and access to quality healthcare are often considered luxuries. Having the means to maintain physical and mental well-being, such as regular exercise, nutritious food, and access to healthcare services, can greatly enhance one’s quality of life.
Financial security
Financial stability, where one does not have to worry about basic necessities and has the freedom to pursue their interests and desires, is often regarded as a luxury. This includes having enough money to cover daily expenses, save for the future, and indulge in occasional splurges or experiences.
Travel and exploration
The ability to travel and explore different parts of the world, experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and environments, is often seen as a luxury. The opportunity to broaden one’s horizons, create lasting memories, and escape the routines of everyday life is highly valued by many.
Personal growth and fulfillment
Having the time, resources, and support to pursue personal growth, self-improvement, and fulfillment is considered a luxury by some. This can include access to education, mentorship, professional development opportunities, and the freedom to pursue passions and interests.
Luxuries that I am grateful for:
No matter what footwear I wear, I get shoe bites and blisters but I was recently able to buy something that doesn’t cause any of those. Honestly, once I bought a fridge that costed same as this pair of footwear so I DO know it is a luxury. I wouldn’t say I can’t live without it but I would not want to.

Apart from this, I think all the gadgets I use are the luxuries I don’t want to live without and my home….the roof over my head… now that’s a luxury I can’t live without 🙂 AND the luxury of living with my family….
Now, it’s your turn… tell me what is one luxury you can’t live without?
