There was a time when I used to scroll Instagram reels for hours. And when I liked something the algorithm thought that was the kind of content that will keep me scrolling for even longer. That is when I saw multiple folks doing this 75 hard challenge. It was hard alright. Working out twice a day for 75 days straight! What do you mean there are no rest days. I can’t live my life like that. But it probably worked for a few and so others wanted to try it too.
When there is a lot of chaos in your life, small things, small challenges and sometimes big challenges help you streamline your life. And at times it is necessary. However, you don’t need it all the time. There are times when it is alright to let lose and be a little less strict with yourself… times when you need 75 soft 🙂
So, if you were to practice a JOMO 75 soft what would that look like?
🌿 JOMO 75 Soft: The Gentle Rebuild
🌀 Core Philosophy:
The goal isn’t transformation through toughness. It’s clarity through kindness, and choosing joy over comparison.
📅 Daily Guidelines (Choose 4-5 per day)
You don’t need to hit all of them every day. JOMO 75 Soft isn’t about streaks. It’s about showing up, softly and consistently.
- 💧 Move Daily – Gently or Strongly
- 30 mins of movement — could be yoga, lifting, dancing in your living room, or a walk with a good playlist.
- Intensity is your choice. The only rule: it must feel good after.
- 📚 Consume with Intention
- Read 5 pages of something nourishing (novel, nonfiction, poetry, manga… no judgment).
- Or listen to a podcast that makes you feel more grounded, not more hyped.
- 🥗 Eat with Attention
- One meal a day that feels like a love letter to your body. Doesn’t need to be fancy.
- Bonus points if you eat it without multitasking.
- 🧠 Take a Joyful Pause
- 5–10 minutes of mindfulness: journaling, deep breathing, gratitude, or just lying on the floor staring at the ceiling (yes, that counts).
- 🖼️ Practice Digital JOMO
- One pocket of the day where you don’t touch your phone. Start with 15 minutes, go longer if you can.
- Instead of doomscrolling, try “joyscrolling” — revisit favorite photos, quotes, or memories.
- 💤 Wind Down Ritual
- Choose a wind-down cue: dim lights, tea, cozy socks, a sleep story, or your own custom one (I see you with the pillow in your lap).
- Do it with intention every night, even if your sleep time varies.
🧸 Optional Weekly Prompts (1–2 per week)
Sprinkle in some cozy challenges to break monotony and build self-trust:
- Declutter one small space (like a drawer or your inbox).
- Wear an outfit that feels 100% you.
- Make a playlist for your current season of life.
- Write a letter to your future self.
- Bake or cook something just because it sounds delicious.
- Take yourself on a tiny solo date.
🧭 What to Track
Instead of ticking boxes out of guilt, try a “how did I feel today?” tracker:
- 🌞 Energized
- 🌿 Grounded
- 🛋️ Cozy
- 🌊 Unsettled
- ☁️ Overwhelmed
- ⭐ Proud
Over time, you’ll spot patterns. You’ll know what nourishes you — and what drains you — without needing a coach or app to tell you.
