There is joy in missing out on comparison.
There is joy in missing out on exercises that are not for you and do not make you happy at all.
There is joy in missing out on self-imposed workout hours that do not work for your body.
But there is joy in fitness. Not in missing out of fitness.
So, you need to find one thing that you are excited about. Something that doesn’t take a lot of motivation. That is your starting point. Because if you start there, then you can work your way up.
For me, it was dance. I started with dance, dance made me happy and so I could go on doing it without skipping.
And I did.
I still skipped some classes, but more or less, liking it helped me show up for the classes.
Then I decided to lift weights right while I was there in the gym. Easy access definitely helped. Because my dance class was at the same place as my weightlifting class.
The thing is a fitness routine doesn’t have to be set overnight AND it doesn’t have to be set in stone.
Once you start taking care of your body, you move enough, start building muscles, and eating right becomes your next priority.
Why? Because you are already doing enough and you want to see the results. And to see the results you need to fix your nutrition.
So, all in all
- Start with what you love.
- Build up your strength and keep trying new things.
- Take care of your nutrition.
- Pay attention to your sleep patterns and work on improving them.
- Do little things for your mental health.
There is no perfect fitness routine; it is always a work in progress.
