One minute of mindfulness ✨

You get up. Pick up your phone. Start scrolling. Go on with your morning activities. Get ready. Keep scrolling in between. Eat or skip breakfast. Start working. Get on to your to-do list. Meetings and calls and discussions or if not that then getting things done at home. Cleaning. Cooking. Laundry. Grocery shopping.

And just like that, the day ends. You move to the TV from your phone. Eat while watching something and then toss and turn in your bed till you fall asleep. Mostly scrolling again.

And then you feel nothing or you feel empty or don’t know how you feel. You think maybe you should change something. Maybe I should learn something new or workout or meditate.

But nothing changes.

Instead, start with one minute of mindfulness.

One minute of deep breathing after getting up.

One minute of deep breathing before you start working.

One minute of deep breathing before you have your evening tea/coffee.

One minute of deep breathing once you’re done with work.

One minute of deep breathing before you go to bed.

That’s 5 mindful minutes in a day.

Those 5 mindful minutes can bring a lot of change in your life. More changes than you can imagine.

Benefits of mindfulness

  1. It helps in improving your emotional and physical well-being.
  2. It destresses you. Read more here.
  3. Slows down burnout. Warns your mind and body.
  4. Improves your memory.
  5. It improves your mental health.

Enough said.

Now go and take some deep breaths.
